Welcome to the Central New York Hackathon website. The CNY Hackathon is a regional intercollegiate offensive/defensive cybersecurity competition held at the end of each Fall semester designed to improve the state of computer science and cybersecurity education, and more closely align academia with Central New York industry partners. Students participate in challenges that task each team with penetrating a target to take control or defending their systems from attackers in order to maintain control.
The Fall 2024 event will be held ON-CAMPUS on November 9th. The two-day event will kickoff at 4pm on Friday virtually on Discord with lightening security-related presentations conducted by industry professionals followed an introduction to the challenges. Teams will then meet virtually to begin accessing the competition platform and strategizing.
Team rooms will open at 8:30am Saturday with the competition portion of the event beginning promptly at 9am and running until 5pm.
Registration for this year’s competition opens on October 18.
